Apple Network Server 500
The Apple Network Server 500 was released on February 15, 1996.
It has a PowerPC 604 CPU at 132MHz with a integrated FPU and a 2GB Hard Drive.
Also, it has 4MB of Macintosh ROM with 32MB of 168-pin RAM, which is expandable to 1024MB by using eight 128MB DIMM Modules.
It runs AIX 4.1.4 to AIX 4.1.5, and also runs Linux, but is not compatible with Mac OS.
Apple Network Server 700
The Apple Network Server 700 was released on October 16, 1996.
It has a PowerPC 604e CPU at 200MHz with a integrated FPU and two 4000MB SCSI-2 Hard Drives.
Also, it has 4MB of Macintosh ROM with 48MB of 168-pin RAM, which is expandable to 1024MB by using eight 128MB DIMM Modules.
It runs AIX 4.1.4 to AIX 4.1.5, and also runs Linux, but is not compatible with Mac OS.
