The iPad Mini is a smaller version of the iPad, and is designed and marketed by Apple Inc.


iPad Mini 1st Generation

The iPad Mini 1st Generation was released on November 2, 2012 and a WiFi Model, and a LTE model.

It was available in 16, 32, and 64GB Models, with 512MB of DD2 RAM. It had a second generation Apple A5 System on Chip, a Dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 CPU @ 1GHz, and a PowerVR SGZ543MP2 GPU.

iPad Mini 2

The iPad Mini 2 was released on November 11, 2013, and was the first iPad Mini to have a Retina Display.

It was available in 16, 32, 64, and 128GB Models, with 1GB of LPDDR3 RAM.

It also came with an Apple A7 System on Chip, a Dual-core Apple Cyclone CPU @ 1.4GHz, and a PowerVR G6430 GPU.

iPad Mini 3

The iPad Mini 3 was introduced on October 16, 2014, and introduced Touch ID to iPad Mini.

It was shipped with iOS 8.1, and is compatible with 12.4.6.

The iPad Mini 3 was also the first iPad Mini to offer a Gold color. It was available in 16, 64, and 128GB Models, with 1GB LPDDR3 DRAM.

iPad Mini 4

The iPad Mini 4 was introduced on September 9, 2015, along with the iPad Pro.

It offered an Apple A8 System on Chip, and an Apple M8 Motion Coprocessor. It also has a Dual-core ARM V8-A CPU @ 1.5GHz, and a PowerVR GX6450 GPU.

iPad Mini 5th Generation

The iPad Mini 5th Generation was released on March 18, 2019, and supports the Apple Pencil.

The iPad Mini 5th Generation was released with iOS 12.2, and is compatible with the latest version of iPad OS 13. It comes in 64 and 256GB models each with 3GB LPDDR4X RAM, and runs a A12 Bionic System on Chip, with a A12 Motion Coprocessor.
