The iBook is a series of laptop computers designed by Apple, as a consumer notebook.


iBook G3 Clamshell

The iBook Clamshell was first released on July 21, 1999, and had 4 models.

It had a PowerPC G3 CPU at 300MHz with an integrated FPU.

Also, it has 1MB of ROM, and 32 or 64MB of PC66 SDRAM, which is expandable to 544MB for the 32MB Model using a 512MB card and the 32MB of Onboard RAM, and 576MB for the 64MB model by using a 512MB Card and the 64MB of Onboard RAM.

It has a internal 12.1 Inch Active Matrix TFT Display, at a 800 by 600 Pixel Resolution, and also supports a 640 by 480 Pixel Resolution.

iBook G3

It had a PowerPC G3 CPU at  500Mhz with a integrated FPU.

Also, it has 1MB of ROM with 64 or 128MB of 144-pin PC100 SDRAM, which is expandable to 576MB for the 64MB Model, using a 512MB Card and the 64MB of Onboard RAM, while the 128MB model is expandable to 640MB by using a 512MB Card and the 128MB of Onboard RAM.

The iBook G4 was released on October 22, 2003, and had 10 different models.

It had a PowerPC G4 CPU at 800Mhz with a integrated FPU.

Also, it has 1MB of ROM with 256MB of 200-pin PC2100 DDR SDRAM, which is expandable to 1128MB by using a single 1000MB Card with the 128MB of Onboard RAM.

It has a internal 12.1 Inch Active Matrix XGA TFT Display at a optional 800 by 600, 640 by 480, or a 1024 by 768 Pixel Resolution.
